  1. INSTALLING EUCALYPTUS

  3.     To install Eucalyptus, just click on the Install script. The Installer
  4.     script is written to work on Installer V43.  This version is available
  5.     on Aminet with the file name Installer-43_3.lha.
  6.  
  7.     If you have used E-Mail programs on your Amiga before, you'll want to
  8.     know that Eucalyptus does not store messages in the UUCP mailbox format
  9.     that is common for many E-Mail readers. Instead, each folder is a
  10.     directory, and every message is stored in a separate file. If you want
  11.     to import your old folders into Eucalyptus, you can do that by configuring
  12.     the folder as the "spool file", and then using the "get new mail"
  13.     function.

  16. AN IMPORTANT NOTE

  18.     Eucalyptus is currently in a development stage.  Releases of this program
  19.     may contain portions that do not appear to work, or may contain bugs.

  21.     Use it at your own risk!  You have been warned.

  24. TO SEND MAIL
  25.  
  26.     Since Eucalyptus has been designed with flexibility as a goal, it
  27.     supports internal as well as external mail sending and retrieval.
  28.     To receive mail externally using the POP3 protocol, you can use
  29.     AmiPOP. To send mail externally using SMTP, you will need to download
  30.     another program. I recommend the INetUtils package, although other
  31.     programs work as well. INetUtils is available on Aminet as
  32.
